About the Author
Jeanne Allen is Associate Professor of Teacher Education at Griffith University. She has worked in tertiary education since 2005 after an extensive career in secondary teaching and school leadership. Jeanne was an Associate Editor for Higher Education Research and Development from 2010 to 2015 and is currently a co-editor of the Asia-Pacific Journal of Teacher Education. She is a member of the Griffith Institute for Educational Research and is co-leader of the Teacher Education Program.
Simone White is Professor and newly appointed as the Assistant Dean (International and Engagement) in the Faculty of Education at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT). Simone has previously held the Chair of Teacher Education at Monash University and led the Academic Community leader for the Teacher Education, Arts, Language and Professional Learning group. She is the immediate Past President of the Australian Teacher Education Association (ATEA).Simone is currently Lead Chief Investigator of an OLT-funded project titled 'Engaging and partnering with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander parents and community to improve student outcomes'. Simone sits on the Editorial Board of the Asia-Pacific Journal of Teacher Education.
