    My university class requires the use of the original textbook, this kanji supplement has many great exercises to help test my retention which has helped my learning immensely. If you're using the original とびら, definitely think about buying the supplementary texts.

    The most difficult aspect of learning Japanese for me is kanji, and this book has been an invaluable resource. It goes over not only how to write the kanji and their proper stroke orders but also the multiple different combinations for it with other kanji and the furigana. It was only recommended (not required) for my class, but if you want to excel in Japanese, then this book will be extremely helpful.
