    I am fascinated and disgusted after taking this course and reading this book. I can never touch mud or a pond again knowing what is inhabiting and squirming and living in it. Brain eating Amoebas! No thanks. Walking in the woods? Forget it with the ticks and fleas. And the bugs and worms and things just living in everything around us! I am so knowledgeable now about invertebrates and parasites and I can thank this book and my professor for that but it’s ruined me for life.
