5.0 out of 5 stars Utilidad de tener a la mano verbos italianos completamente conjugados
Verified PurchaseLa serie Barron's de 501 verbos conjugados es siempre una garantía y una gran ayuda para todos aquellos que quieren aprender una lengua extranjera. En el caso de 501 verbos italianos, lo compré como apoyo en mi proyecto de aprender italiano, donde la conjugación de verbos es muy importante. Por lo anterior, recomiendo ampliamente este libro.

5.0 out of 5 stars Book is solid; companion CD is quite thin
Verified PurchaseI am a beginner studying Italian, and the content in this book is solid and well organized. Beyond covering verbs in Italian, it also has capsule summaries of Italian pronunciation and grammar, as well as lists of the essential Italian verbs to learn and an expanded list of 1500 verbs that conjugate in the same manner as the 500 covered in detail in the main text. It seems like a valuable reference to help build my vocabulary of verbs as well as understand the various conjugations for each.
The main reason why I write this review is the CD-ROM. I went back and forth between this and the pocket version of the book, and the CD-ROM was one of the selling points. It shouldn't have been. I was hoping to find printable worksheets in PDF format, perhaps flashcards and other helpful supplements to the main text.
Instead, what you get is a Flash app with a handful of practice exercises, and by a handful I mean exactly 18 sets of practice exercises. The app is (thankfully) self-contained, so you don't need to have Flash installed on your computer to use it, but the content it contains is so thin it's not worth your time. There's no way to do the exercises apart from interacting with the clunky app.
I did find a folder on the CD filled with audio assets of native speakers pronouncing the verbs in the app, which does seem useful but again not all that enriching in terms of additional content.
The book, however, does have an appendix at the back with practice worksheets and exercises as well as an answer key, so I did get what I wanted in the end. But those expecting the CD-ROM to be a value-add should buy this book for the value and content provided in the main text.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very practical
Verified PurchaseVery practical for studying or as a point of reference if you want to check a verb form/ spelling. The set phrases provided for each verb are also very useful and help you to improve your Italian in general. I fully recommend it.
