In seventeen editions the book has gone through many changes to establish an international reputation for innovation and clarity. This 18th edition is no exception. A new editorial team - including 21 new chapter authors - has pulled together the most up-to-date information possible. There are many revisions to content including a major new chapter on the molecular and cellular basis of disease and an enhanced new chapter on Diabetes Mellitus and Nutritional and Metabolic Disorders.
