This is a required text for my genetics class, however I feel like it's my easiest read for the semester. The author does a good job of providing clinical case studies related to concepts covered in each chapter and has excellent summary tables and figures. Also, the additional online questions are an excellent study aid. This book is expensive for the actual size but amazon had the best deal around.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Buy
Verified PurchaseGreat textbook. It is paperback and international edition, but for the price compared to a hard copy, this is a steal. I used it for my Human Genetics course at Berkeley and it is exactly the same as the non-international edition. Would highly recommend purchasing this book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Human Heredity: Not a bad piece of work
Verified PurchaseHuman Heredity is a straightforward text to the understanding of Genetics. Each chapter has an end of chapter discussion on the ethics of Genetics, challenging the perception that Genetics research is nonethical pursuits of science of the ivory tower.
Understanding the various elements of Genetics is really difficult, and the book is easily set up to go back and read confusing elements. The textbook did not help me understand pedigrees, they're still a confusing jumble of squares and circles, and the section on chi squares was extremely confusing.
I don't have experience with other Genetics textbooks, so take my review with that in mind. Thank you!
