    We used the newer version of this book in engineering school a few years back. I reluctantly sold it at the end of the semester for money, being a 'broke college kid'. I'm now a professional engineer and encountered a heat transfer problem at work, so I bought this older (5th) edition. I remember from class that the 5th and 6th editions are incredibly similar, and some students used the older edition. Pretty much the same, even the same homework problems with different numbers.

    Very clear explanations, thoroughly covers all the basics, great examples that apply to the real world. My nose has been back in this book for the past 2 weeks and it has helped me be a successful engineer.
