This book is required for my physics 2 course at my university.
This physics book actually takes time to explain key concepts. It goes through the reasoning behind solving problems. I really like the writing style, it's clear and helpful. I'm not that good at physics but I was able to complete my homework just by using this book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty well written book as far as textbooks go
Verified PurchasePretty well written book as far as textbooks go. Contains some errors, but errors are stated on book's website. Has a strange way of representing fields. Could do with more examples and example problems.

3.0 out of 5 stars Easy but also jumping around.
Verified PurchaseIt's easy to read but sometimes it throws formulas and equations at you that include constants and you find yourself flipping back pages or checking your notes to ensure yourself that you didn't accidentally skip or miss anything. Trust me, it's not you, it's this book that seems to assume you know everything. I still give it 3 stars because the little that it does it explain, it explains very very well.
You should have a strong background in Calculus 2 and all the math around vectors (dot product etc) if you want to survive this class.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best textbooks available
Verified PurchaseI highly recommend it, it's definitely a very modern and interesting approach for teaching basic physics. I am excited to try it out with my students next semester.

1.0 out of 5 stars not a book just a collection of pages.
Verified PurchaseComment on the binding, not on the technical part: perhaps it was written, but I did not see it. This is not a book in a book format, it's a book in the form of collection of pages.
