The text is very easy to read, has chapters that are reasonable in length, and provides many strategies that are directly applicable in a classroom. The book was a little pricey, but worth the cost.

4.0 out of 5 stars Useful strategies but overpriced
Verified PurchaseMost good textbooks are overpriced. This one's no exception. Still, I feel I got my money's worth if only for the strategies and suggestions for reading and writing in secondary content areas. It's great for those teachers looking for reading and writing strategies to support common core regulations.
