Format: HardcoverVerified PurchaseGreat textbook. Fairly up to date for a big textbook. Great content.
Very heavy though. Nice paper and print quality. Very decent letter size making it easy to read.
Only thing I didn't like is the glossiness of the paper. Under a lamp, the glitter is a bit annoying.

5.0 out of 5 stars The definitive resource to start to understand Emergency Medicine as a specialty
Format: HardcoverVerified PurchaseIs this text written on stone? Absolutely not. That would have required at least a few hundred volumes instead of two. And I'm sure that Amazon would not want to ship a few hundred sets of stone tablets for free regardless of Prime membership.
This is an excellent resource for those not trained in emergency medicine to understand why things that are never even a fleeting concern in office-based medicine are daily worries for the emergency physician. It is an excellent resource for the aspiring emergency physician, hungry to learn more about the specialty. It is also an excellent resource for the trained emergency physician to reinforce good practices. Yes, for those of us in the last two groups the current literature invalidates some of the text. However, that is the nature of textbooks, and when one combines this resource with a few select others the step from best practices of the past to best current practices in the specialty of emergency medicine is very short.
