It should be stated on the outset: this is an excellent textbook recommended for

all geographers, students and teachers alike. The book excels in many aspects: its

content is rich and well balanced, its clarity is superb, and it is replete with examples

and exercises. The book is user-friendly to students who are interested in understanding the application of statistical tests and in properly interpreting the results, rather than in delving in the mathematics involved.

This is a good statistics text book for geography students. It's well readable and combines basic statistics with some geo-spatial examples. This is the book that makes me fall in love with spatial statistics.

I got this book for a class, it just has really poorly structured equation explanations. I needed up getting so confused by how the book was explaining thing that I search on google and got loads of good help for free. If you can.. Don't waste your money on this book.

Anyway, the Preface of three editions show that the author did devote himself into this book. (though it may not fit everyone.)
