- Reviewed in Australia on 16 October 2024Verified PurchaseWhile it is designed as an Australian university text book it can be read by the non-law student to understand the law. It is not an easy read but nothing of value will come easy.
If you are looking at this book knowing you are going to face a battle with greedy relatives looking at your parent's estate. This book will arm you with the ability to brief your lawyers and understand what they want to do.
In your battle you will face lots of arguments that may appear to be reasonable but the have no basis in law. Read the book, know the law and you can prevail.
Many lawyers are quite clueless and confuse Family Law with Estate Law. This book will arm you with the facts on what the Succession law actually is.
A Judge once told me the 3 RULES OF THE LEGAL PROFESSION
1.) Any similarity between justice and the law is purely coincidence.
2.) The legal system is run purely for the convenience of the legal profession.
3.) I once asked him: “How do I hire a lawyer without getting ripped off?” His reply was: “I don't know”.
