5 STAR DOODY'S REVIEW!
"The 11th edition of Goodman & Gilman continues to be the most comprehensive and authoritative single source on the pharmacology of drugs. The first edition was published by Alfred Gilman and Louis Goodman in 1941. It soon became known as the bible of pharmacology and, even though editorship and chapter authorships have changed continuously from edition to edition, this remains the gold standard of pharmacology textbooks....The print version should be on the reference shelf and the digital version on the computer desktop of all practicing pharmacologists, pharmacists, and physicians."--Doody's Review Service

5.0 out of 5 stars Purching and sender review
Format: HardcoverVerified PurchaseFirst and perhaps foremost, this textbook is viewed as the leading authority in the field in pharmacology and its use in the field of Pharmacy and Medicine.
I would recommend (to anyone who doesn't own one already) this as a reference in medicine/pharmacy. The delivery was much sooner than I expected. The book itself was as rated by the seller. This book was rated "like new" and is in immaculate condition.
I've purchased new books from the local bookstores and this one is as good or maybe in better condition than those. I would rate this acquisition (shipping/handling) A++. Great shopping experience.

5.0 out of 5 stars THE Essential Reference For Therapeutics
Format: HardcoverVerified PurchaseFor many decades, G&G has been, and still is, THE essential reference for medications of all kinds.
In over 2,000 pages of newly typeset text, every area of recent pharmacology is covered.
Alas, for so-called atypical medications, which have long ago gone out of patent protection, yet are still quite useful to this day, older editions of G&G are necessary references.
For this reason, I try to maintain a personal library which contains every other edition.

5.0 out of 5 stars Have not opened it yet.
Format: HardcoverVerified PurchaseHaven't gotten to open and make a judgment about the book yet. My school has free access to online version, and I bought this so I could carry it with me to use my spare time productively, but it is very massive. I heard, material is very well covered, so 5 stars.

5.0 out of 5 stars still the best
Format: HardcoverVerified PurchaseStill the best...you get lost in its mechanisms of action, similar structures, and receptor stimulations. If in your career you need to wander near a drug that we use, get this book and you will wonder no longer.... Still the best!
