Reviews
This course can be really hit or miss. IMO The content is really interesting and the later assignments usually allow for some good creative scope, but the management and lectures are of varying quality. Ranald was a great lecturer but I've heard scathing reviews about this new guy in S2 2020 : / . If you take only one COMP course, do not let it be this one, go do COMP1730. If you're doing a degree in the comp sci field, pour your heart and soul into this course, it pays dividends.

If you're going to take one computing course, make sure it is this one. I would highly recommend this course over all the other first year computer science courses.
