I really didn't think I would enjoy this subject but I loved it! Really learnt a lot more than I thought I would and got into it. I'm not a lover of politics but this subject really made the topic come to life and made me think. Great subject coordinator as well! I did find I didn't have much use for the textbook though as lots of online material is available. Overall I really enjoyed this subject and I would do it again.

Great subject. Provides understanding of current policy via a broad range of readings which include early political history and comparison of party ideologies. Enables an informed political view resulting in consolidation and expression of personal political views.

This subject gave me a much greater understanding of the politics and policies that govern our country, and how they affect social services around Australia. I thoroughly enjoyed coming to class and debating with other students about current policies in our society, and i now follow the news in relation to this 100 times more than i did before commencing the subject!
