The class was pretty interesting but got very confusing very fast as the readings we discussed were very philosophical. The assignments gave you a fair bit of freedom though, you don't really need to look into the extra readings either. You get a chance to ask questions to authors and people in the book industry. If you like creative writing you're basically guaranteed to like this class. If you're looking for a bludge subject and don't enjoy writing too much then I would avoid it.

Classes are usually very interesting. We sometimes got to watch clips from TV shows like Mad Men and True Blood for examples of clever writing which was really fun! Seminars are great to get feedback on your work. Overall a great overview of the different styles of writing, such as creative non-fiction, script writing, poetry and prose fiction.

I really loved this follow on unit and the interesting readings we got to explore. There were multiple ways to get your assignments done because the readings offer so many ideas and themes to draw on.

A great follower from the first unit. It delves into theory a bit more, and also allows you to explore styles of writing you haven't attempted before. A great unit overall.
