CRIM1101 was a beneficial introduction topic to understand the basic concepts and type of materials that are required throughout the course.

Found assessment quite easy but didn't think there was a lot of cohesion between the lectures and the assessed work we had to complete. Lectures were interactive but very theory based and there often didn't seem to be a clear connection between a lot of the content. Tutorials consisted of completing a task each week (some felt unnecessary) and then discussing some of the lecture content with the group. The requirements for assessment (word count and structure) was sometimes confusing as different information was given by the topic coordinator during the lectures compared to what the tutors would advise. Was not a bad topic but I do question what I learnt from it.

Super easy, no exam and lots of small assessments (quizzes) weekly. Have a brief understanding and you will do fine. All online and pretty easy topic.

This subject is a great introduction to criminology. It's also a great subject if you're a law student interested in criminal law.
