Great course, it was pretty hard because statistics is very different to math from school. So mature age students don't fret everyone feels the same way. Statistics is not about math at all its about learning what specific number mean and how to depict information from a formula. If you attend all tutorials, pass session and lectures you won't have a problem generating a good foundation of knowledge which is HIGHLY relied upon to being to understand statistics 2. If you do well in this course its likely you will do well in RMS 2. It uses the same textbook, if you don't understand something use the textbook its your saving grace.

Excellent lecturers, tutors can be a bit useless so make sure you find a good one and talk to them/email them about your questions with the assignment. After the lab report is finished you don't really need to attend tutorials. Make sure you take advantage of all the materials provided with the practice exams, practice questions, consults, and tutes (including emailing) after lectures and tutorials. If you take advantage of all the support, and make sure you understand the concepts well, you will do fine! Excellent material delivered in an excellent manner.

Try not to get caught up in the idea that "stats is hard". If you attend tutorials, read your text book and plan your week, so that you aren't cramming come week 7, you'll be just fine . And go to your consults that tutors offer!!! They are there to help you! (Note: they can't read draft lab reports, but you can be clever and ask them specific questions to make sure you're on the right track....

Challenging, but rewarding after you work heard and get the results. Go to all lectures, tutorials and do all the readings!

make sure you got to EVERY tutorial. Very important to pass stats successfully. Can be stressful at times but the tutors were very helpful. Also do not sell your text, you'll need it for stats #2
