Worse class I have every done. Hopefully the uni reformat the course and get new lecture/ tutors. If you get Rakesh Gupta and Kejia Yan good luck.

Absolutely terrible course, the lecturer (Rakesh Gupta) and tutor (Kejia Yan) just read off of the PowerPoint and the assessment used to be a group assignment and is now an individual assignment with the same requirements, it has no guidance from the lecturer or tutor or any clear criteria. There is little to no communication from the lecturer and tutor making it extremely difficult to get a simple answer! The exam is extremely difficult (Weeks 1-12) as it only allows a formula sheet that they give you and you need to memorise heaps of formulas. Absolutely ridiculous course! Terrible!

Awesome Subject.

I found that I didn't need to go to the lectures, however I found the tutorials helpful as my tutor was good at giving a more in depth answer and explanation than what was provided in the uploaded answers. Both the midsem and the final were quite easy, the practice questions for the final were much more difficult than the actual exam. Overall an enjoyable course

Good subject. However it could be good. The lectures are good and teach you a lot with lots of real world examples which helps with maths content and understanding when you would use it. However, the tutes don't teach you anything as the full answers to the tutorial questions are put online. You may as well just read the tute answers and not waste your time attending the tutes as no new work is covered. The final exam has lots of preperation however the final exam preperation uploaded online is way harder than the exam. When it comes to the final exam it is made out it is a lot harder than it is and the format isn't clear to you until you go in. Good subject but could be slightly better.
