Hate chemistry? This will change that. Mostly. The lectures and quizzes are easy to follow and allow for easy marks. Be prepared for the labs though, since some useless demonstrators do not care. The labs are stressful and long, so do your reading and come prepared. Lecturers are knowledgeable and friendly (apart from David Wilson lol).

A really interesting subject. Quite challenging in the beginning because it's basically for those who didn't study chemistry in VCE. I really found a passion for chemistry through this subject and Carmel is amazing at offering students help and tips to succeed throughout the semester. The labs were the worst part - my lab teacher didn't care about what we did and was always 'too tired' to explain how to conduct the experiments safely, and she would often embarrass you in front of the entire lab bench when you did something the wrong way accidently. Also really unsafe practices happened in labs because the teachers just wanted to get us over and done with.

Very challenging for those who do not have a strong mathematical or chemical background but a must do.

Heavy in the content, but well presented
