This is a very enjoyable subject, however you have to be passionate about the topic to get as much out of it as I did. This subject has a lot of info and content so if you aren't interested you won't commit to learning it. If you are interested and passionate about the topic however, you will find it very rewarding. It is both hands on and written work orientated, with essays and quizzes as well as dissections and lab test including brain dissections and extraction and viewing your own cheek cells under a microscope. The lecturer can be hard to understand but if you get Adam Lawther as a facilitator he is really great and is always happy to help you if you are struggling. Lastly the Exam is multiple choice which suited me really well.

I found PSY1BNA a very interesting subject although found the subject to be extremely content-heavy! The lectures were tiresome as they were slotted at 3-5pm on a Wednesday and did not provide stability with various lectures (all of which ran out of time when lecturing and therefore cut into the following weeks information). I found it very useful to print the lecture slides out, although found it unhelpful when the slides were put up the night before the lecture, preparation before the lecture to learn key terms would have been very useful and may help the lecturers in the future. I believe there needs to be a clear line in what both the lecturers and tutors want with the work provided and more support for such an in-depth subject, as I do not believe there should be any variances in work provided.
