Such a necessary subject. It is so important to be aware an be challenged on the history of the country we now call home. A very eye-opening course.

Such an incredibly important subject that I think all students should be required to take. You learn so much about Indigenous struggles and statistics. Your world view opens up and you become more empathetic. Also incredibly relevant with the BLM movement exploding at the moment.

ABST100 is the easiest subject I've ever taken at uni + I would highly recommend it for education students looking for easy but still relevant electives. The assignments were marked generously and the tutors are very enthusiastic about their topics. easy HD and very interesting :)

Would have been good to learn more about Indigenous life prior to white settlement. In the group project it was confusing knowing how to relate birthdays to colonisation etc. Interesting unit overall, lecturer was great.

Enjoyed this subject. Really interesting and all the teaching staff were very passionate.

Easiest subject - done it externally. Lecturer Corrine is very straight forward and wants you to pass, actually talks about relevant things. No exam externally, just ensure you stay on top of it!

This is my second semester at University. ABST 100 is my favourite subject so far. I couldn't make the first lecture but the second lecture on reading and writing was incredible. I expected it to be really dull and boring, but the lecturer Corrine just brings the classroom alive. I never thought I would actually enjoy lectures, particularly in this subject. It is a revelation!

This unit has been nothing short of spectacular. It's been an absolute joy participating in a unit that is taught and tutored by people that are so passionate about what they are teaching, and make it so you can't wait for the next topic to begin! There's a few convenors and tutors out there that could take a few pages from your book that's for sure! I'm disappointed that it's come to an end so fast and that I can't just keep doing Indigenous based units, you guys have really cemented the fact that this was the right major choice for me and for that I thank you again as the other units I did this session have really made me question if I've chosen the right degree!

This unit has truly enlightened me. I have learnt so much about myself, the world and Aboriginal people. The first lecture blew my mind! Being colonised was an eye opening experience, it really highlighted to me how power can be used and abused. Corrinne is the best teacher I have ever had, and the guest lectures she brings in are awesome. I hope I can do more ABST units.

This has been my most favourite subject this semester. I took the unit as my people unit. I love the challenge, it is interesting and really confronting - but in a good way! The lecturer Corrinne, is the best teacher Ihave had in my life!
