This subject was excruciating. If you don't have a passion in accounting or understand the basics of accounting it is super difficult to get your head around. The lecturer moves quite fast and doesn't go through how to do each accounting task very well.

This subject is a watered down version of ACCG100 for those not doing an accounting major (I have done both). This subject is fairly easy, it only requires you to understand basic concepts, do your homework and memorise a couple of thngs for the final exam. I didn't have a good experience with the group assignment - resulting in a group member being thrown under the bus, but overall I still managed a distinction.

This is a very easy subject IF you keep up with the work. The assessments are very straightforward and the lecturers (Samantha Sin) gave a lot of final exam advice which was very useful.

Not particularly interesting but I'd say the group assignment is quite meaningful and a good chance to improve your teamwork, innovative and communication skills. Overall an easy subject, just need to put a lil effort in memorising the core stuff.

Content was ok as long as you read a week ahead so you could understand the lectures. The lectures were tough because the lecturer was not very engaging and at times tough to understand and as such, numbers dwindled to less than 20 by the end of the semester. I struggled with the group assignment but that was due to being in a poor group. Still managed to get a distinction despite the above.

An introductory unit to accounting. You are introduced to accounting concepts and theory. One downside to the unit is that not enough focus is on the 'decision making process' despite the unit being based on decision making based on accounting information.

The theory side is basically a rehash and expansion upon HSC Business Studies. The prac side isn't too hard as long as you practice writing up financial statements so honestly nothing too hard. The group assignment can be a little frustrating but if you can pull through there are a ton of easy marks to be made.

I didn't think it was possible for accounting to be interesting but 106 was a great subject to take!

The content is very dry. I personally found the tests to be difficult and my tutor couldn't speak English very well, so I found it hard to get help. However, it is still possible to pass because of the easy marks you can get in the other assessments.

very long and tedious group assignment. Not the easiest subject
