Good unit, easy to pass. Only issue is the group assignments, as you are heavily reliant on group marks. If you have a good group you will do well. I would recommend

I didn't really like it, but easy unit!
Anonymous, Semester 2, 2018
Decent unit. Nothing too hard. Assessments are harshly marked and if you have a bad group then you will be screwed which is the only downside. Other than that, it is quite a useful unit which helps to bridge the gap between business and IT.

Great unit! Very well designed and was a unit that I actually enjoyed. Very easy to pass, so aim for HD!

Challenge to do excellent in this subject!
Anonymous, Semester 2, 2016
really boring, but Mauricio was really great - just understand risks and controls and you'll be sweet

This unit can get a little dry with all the content, especially if you try reading the textbook, most of it is general knowledge. The key to success in this unit is understanding key concepts instead of memorising useless facts!

A dry and boring unit but easy to pass.
Anonymous, Semester 2, 2014
Poor management when I did it, changed co-ordinators half-way through and assignment marking inconsistent (appealed and got a lot more marks in the end that I should have got the first time..)
Anonymous, Semester 2, 2013
Boy this is a dry subject! Probably interesting for the IT geeks amongst us but it is also a course you need to do to be accredited into a CA or CPA program. Course content varies from logical to quite challenging.
