Honestly this unit has made me question my will to live and made me never want to pursue accounting as a career. Overall, Rahat Munir the unit convener was actually pretty nice. However Anthony Matis one of the main speakers was extremely annoying and the advice that he gives every week is honestly absolute dogshit. With highlights such as, "people don't like uninteresting people, so don't be uninteresting" and "the angst will barre you from future events". Anthony is possibly one of the most unbearable people that I have the displeasure to listen to. I genuinely thinks that he teaches this unit, purely because he loves the sound of his own voice. While some of the speakers are quite nice and provide decent advice, there are many speakers that come off as extremely rude, arrogant and try to convert you into a corporate slave with no autonomy nor independence . With one of the speakers saying that if you wanted a 9-5 job, you should just work at McDonald's instead of being an accountant ššš and that you should always go above and beyond for your corporate family because they truly care about you š. The assignment briefs are so unbelievably disorganised that it was difficult for me to understand what they were trying to say. e.g. instead of formatting the assignment briefs in a pdf or a word doc format, they would just paste the text directly onto ilearn. This made it extremely difficult to read. Also, it was extremely hard to understand the content of the assignment as the majority of the brief would be waffle about irrelevant statistics. These would make finding what they actually want me to do extremely difficult as the random facts and statistics would be threaded though the actual instructions. It also doesn't help that the assignment outlines were also hilariously brief, unclear and open ended. Thus, they are very difficult to do if you are not already in the accounting industry or if you haven't done all the other accounting units. lol anyways, I know that the people who do this unit are forced to do so because it is their capstone unit and not because they want to, so good luck!

It was okay. Easiest accounting unit, periodddttttt. Mostly reflections and group work. Try finding people you'd likely work well with, otherwise it'll be a long semester :/ Fr if you fail this unit, you probably vote labour. Anyways see yall again next semester

3 hour seminar every week, very repetitive. Make sure you have a good group, most of the assessments are group work. Dont leave the case study to the last minute
