Loved this unit. My major is on Human Biology but I picked this unit for fun and to be honest I am so glad I did. I enjoyed it very much and was nice to study something uniquely different from what I am used to. Bruno is without a doubt a great lecturer and tutor I really did enjoy attending practicals and lectures because of this. The content was perfect for a level 1 unit. it was very broad and touched on a bit of everything. I just wish I did this before COVID because sadly had to move online a couple of weeks in. They did a great job adapting to the change and didn't affect me like a lot of other units did because of the major change online. Of course, the guest lecturers were all amazing and loved hearing different aspects of their research.

I really enjoyed this unit! It gives a broad underpinning foundation to all of biology; from basics of animal and plant physiology, ecosystem interactions, and evolution. It is a required prerequisite for many second year biology units, and is also great for people doing environmental science.

Very enjoyable and easy-going subject covering the basics of many parts of biology. No doubt, heaps of content but it wasn't overly technical or complicated to understand. Convenor and lecturer Bruno made the unit all the more better, he was passionate and explained concepts well. The practicals were quite enjoyable, and the quizzes were simple. A great subject overall.

Enjoyable first year unit. Lectures were interesting and practicals contained lots of activities. Assignments were a great introducer to the academics of uni.
