Loved how Damian, the conveyor was responsible, flexible, and understanding. The guidelines were specific, and easy to follow. Great unit to choose if you're not an exam person, and work full time. Very manageable

As a science student, I found this subject really interesting!

Some of the content is difficult for a science layman but the assignments are all about creativity. Overall, I really enjoyed it but I wish there was more guidance.

If you can look past the dated quality of the recorded lectures you'll be fine. This unit is very general- more about the history of chemistry, its every day uses and a bit on philosophy and poetry (within chemistry). I found it interesting. The essay marking was generous, the unit completely online and self paced, and the quizzes- well, you get to research the questions before you answer! Win, win- in my opinion! A bonus was the cute, quirky nature of the lecturers- gotta love that chemistry humour :-D

Not enough drive for learning is urged, topics are introduced and left at that. Almost seems to acknowledge its own status as an easy credit point unit. Besides that, the topics themselves are actually very interesting, a worthy choice for the planet unit slot.

I didn't think this subject was all bad - run entirely externally, assessments were almost too easy with hardly any amount of research needing to be put in, markers were fair, and the content was interesting. Admittedly it was fairly unorganised, jumping from subject to subject within the realm of chemistry, with there hardly being any lectures covering the actual name of the subject - drugs, alchemy and the quest for immortality. This was definitely more of a general chemistry unit and overall I enjoyed it.
