Damien is the worst teacher, stay away if he's running it Promised pracs of proper networking never happens so you do the same prac over and over regardless of the topic that week, you get no feedback whatsoever on how you're doing in pracs Assignments have no marking criteria Exam questions are so vague and niche you need to have read and exact 1 sentence from a 30 chapter textbook to even get the question A prac was literally just "log into cisco and do the work there" Stay away from Damien's units as he does multiple units in a semester and doesn't put any effort in them

There is a lot of content in this unit but it is all relevant for future subjects so make sure you take good notes. The majority of marks are from the module exams for which you get two attempts, one during the sem and another during exam period so don't stress too much if you're not prepared the first time. The two assignments are easy as long as you start early because they require a hefty amount of research for quality answers.

This unit has a lot of content so keep studying every week and don't miss a lecture. This unit was online this semester because of the covid-19 situation, hence the structure of the unit was different. Instead of a 30 min/1 hr test which had multiple choice, short answer, fill the blanks, and check-boxes, we had 3 short answer questions and its in a 15 min time limit. Hence, not very relaxing for students who are nervous. Other than that I did better than what I expected. Damian is a great tutor. He helps students when they're stuck and since he is the convener you know that he knows every part of the unit well.
