so boring. did absolute minimum work because I couldn't struggle through the boredom. The essay was super annoying too

Boring subject. Lectures were boring (seriously, I didn't watch one and passed the subject), tutorials were bad (my tutor didn't show up for four weeks and consistently showed up late - never learned her name so I can't warn against her, sorry), and the content was SUPER boring. So disappointed after coming off the interesting counterpart to this unit (EDUC105) and having to basically convince myself to show up to uni for this class. Although, it's extremely easy to pass which is the only good thing about this unit (and is what bumped it up from 1 to 2 stars).

I didn't watch any of the lectures as they were super boring, but the key to passing/exceeding grade expectations is to ace the major research essay! There is a group project but it is super easy and the individual report accompanied with it is also easy marks. MAKE SURE YOU DO THE ASSET SURVEYS AS THEY'RE AN EASY 5 MARKS!!! Good luck with this unit!

Boring as hell, but easy pass if you attend tutorials & stay up to date with unit guide with the mini surveys.

Boring but an easy pass - go to tutes and you will pass 100%.

Weird mix of boring and interesting. The assignments are marked a little harsh.

extremely boring and they mark quite harshly

EDUC106 I personally enjoyed a lot more than EDUC105. It addresses key issues in education in relation to the society and culture, rather than brain development. Felt that there was greater interactions in tutorials, assignment feedback was useful

Quite a breezy unit! Really good for initial understandings of sociological contexts of education.

I would describe this unit as either: a. Very interesting and captivating (especially in the lectures or topics I was dreading attending). So much so that I developed an interest and appreciation for the more philosophical and political side of education. OR b. Exactly like a year 8 history dvd lesson where the entire classroom, including the teacher, fall asleep at their desks. Waking up at the end credits, grateful for the power nap. Not sure if this helps...
