One of the most unhelpful units i've done. They want you to write a classroom management plan when most students haven't even been on prac. They don't help you with how you should even write this 'plan' it was so difficult to even begin writing anything. Lectures are long and repetitive, however i still leave lectures without information that even helped with the assignment in the slightest. Maybe this was just my own experience but i do not recommend this unit if you don't have to do it.

Watch lectures at 1.75 speed, only 1-3 relevant points per. S2 2017 final exam required us to have memorised a syllabus outcome and developed performance indicators. They won't tell you this is necessary preparation and it is 50% of the test grade - a guy left my exam room crying. Already forgotten what was "taught" here but most of our cohort seemed to average a Credit.

Not good. 2 lectures a week, so repetitive and slow and very easily could be been condensed into 1, especially if it begun in the first week of semester. Most tutors were lovely, although convener didn't reply to any emails of mine (not just late, literally ever). If this wasn't compulsory i would have paid to leave this unit.

One of the most challenging and rewarding subjects I have undertaken - it really strengthened my critical and creative thinking to such lengths!

The worst subject I've ever done. No-one in class had any idea how to do the assessments, and tutors/John de Nobile would not help at all to clarify. If it wasn't compulsory, I would have dropped out in the first week. So disjointed, so disorganised.

Interesting and helpful subject. I get the impression that it was most useful to students who were completing their teaching prac at the same time, wish I had been able to do the same. Gives a lot of helpful theories in regards to classroom management.
