DO NOT TAKE THIS UNIT UNLESS YOU HAVE A STRONG MORPHOLOGY BACKGROUND - It's a new unit so that the lecturer was unsure of how best to deliver the material. Too much content to take in, too many skills to master before they were assessed. - Despite not having any pre-requisites, you would need morphology knowledge to take this unit, or you'd risk failing - Assignments were two 30% problem sets and a final 40% problem set. The questions were not very well-written so it's hard to know what kind of answers the marker was expecting. Difficult questions from the outset, a lot more challenging than the exercises that we did throughout the unit. Failing rates were high according to our lecturer. - Final thoughts: if you really want to take a morphology unit for your 3rd year, don't pick this one unless you are super confident in your morphology knowledge. The unit will probably improve as time goes on (i.e. in a few years) but as of now... don't do it. (Gotta dry my tears and go back to working on my final assignment)
