Terrible. I agree with the other review that there's no guidance for heavily weighted subjects, despite the fact that the lecturer has very specific ideas of what we SHOULD be doing (which is not reflected in the marking guide). There are no tutorials but the lecturers are pointless and unstructured. It's mostly just her rambling about the theory or reading in a way that doesn't convey its main points, before asking us to discuss the topic in groups. Most of these discussions boil down to "did you know there is not right answer to this? In a humanities course? Who knew!" In two lectures all we did was watch films. Despite this, the lecturer doesn't even mark our work, instead giving it to a student teacher who is overly harsh because he feels the need to prove that he takes it seriously. It's a complete mess of a course, and when I inevitably fail it I'll happily do any MAS300 level other than this one.

It's called Network Cultures now. Very much theory based, little to no guidance on assessments and the assessments are so heavily weighted. Feels like I'm reflecting on first year media theories and learning nothing.
