Horrible unit with a stupid exam, do not recommend if you just looking for an easy pass
Anonymous, Semester 1, 2019
The content is very relevant and interesting. I really enjoyed learning some of the psychological/behaviour theories behind contemporary Marketing strategy. The assessments were marked very strictly according to the rubric, which meant that you had to follow it extremely closely or end up with low marks. While this was an easy unit to pass it can be challenging to get into the Distinction range because assessments are marked so strictly. Overall, I would recommend this unit to someone interested in social marketing and psychology.

Great unit. Easy to follow and score if you listen well to Helen Siuki. She was an amazing unit convenor, lecturer and tutor. Highly recommend getting her as your tutor if you can as I had bad experiences with other tutors. Content is relatable and you can score well if you would put in the effort (which isn't that much).

This is a very interesting unit. The content is easy to understand and interpret and it's very interactive as you have to create your own social marketing campaign. The lecturer is very informative, knowledgeable and I have learnt a lot from her. My only issue is that my tutor KRISTINE ROBIDA is a very nasty marker and academic. She may seem very nice and innocent, but don't be fooled by her evil facade. If you have her in the future, make SURE you change classes ASAP.

Unstructured but easy content

Very different to the other marketing subjects, which what makes it more interesting! As long as you keep up with the lectures/readings each week and ensure you have a decent group for the group task, you will be fine. Some parts are pretty easy and because the content is relateable and engaging, it makes the subject easier to complete.

This would have to be my favourite subject at uni. Make sure you get a decent group for your presentation and be willing to go outside the box for your campaign. Definitely recommend MKTG309!

Great choice for an elective and completed my non-law minor.

Interesting subject and case study examples in each of the issues addressed. Content was clear and easy to understand. You develop a social marketing campaign which is a practical learning experience.
