Reviews

I did this subject in 2016 and later tutored it aswell. As long as you understand the concepts and keep up to date with quizzes, the final exam should be a breeze.

This unit requires you to stay on top of the content every week due to its weekly assignments (quizzes and labs), so you'll definitely know quite a lot by the final exam even if you don't study much for it. The content can be a bit challenging, but nonetheless manageable and interesting even for someone with no previous physics background.

Best unit ever, and the unit convenor and lecturers are awesome! The content is interesting! Recommend!

The content of the unit is very interesting however there are several inconsistencies with the staff. The SGTA quizzes are marked by different people hence people get different marks for their quiz even if they have made the same mistake. For the practicals, there are more lenient markers than others so you’ll surely be getting different marks from others even if your work quality is equal.

If you stay on top of the content, and try to get most out of the tutes, you'll be fine! Good luck!
