Reviews

I loved this unit! There is a lot of content, but I found the lecturer and tutors very helpful. If you're interested in neuropsychology, I'd very strongly recommend it.

Interesting content and pretty basic neuroscience if you’ve completed related subjects. Lots of specifics to remember (e.g. neuropsychological tests, executive functions, dementias etc.). The written component to the exam makes this more difficult as you will have to recall these rather than rely on recognition.

A LOT of content to cover relative to other psychology units, and it's often presented as a list of facts and stats which makes it tedious to memorise (for me, about 5 hours each lecture). Two tutorials were presented as lectures (a tonne of information), however, the rest of the tutes were more hands-on, and about practicing neuropsychological assessment which was very engaging. Mid-session test was easy, but essay was marked quite harshly. Beware, final exams contain short answer questions, which most psych students aren't used to. Overall, a slightly more content-heavy psychology unit.

Very interesting subject and most lecturers are very knowledgeable. Good introduction to neuropsychology.

Great unit to get an idea on what neuropsych actually is (many people think its an continuation of biopsych). Quite relevant to society and gives a great hands on approach.
