Reviews

Not too bad but lit review marked pretty harshly compared to other 2nd year psych assignments (as another person said).

Interesting and enjoyable for the most part but very content heavy, so hard to revise and retain for a closed-book exam. Literature review marked quite harshly compared to other 2nd year psychology unit assignments from personal and friends' experiences, but allows for good flexibility based on topic interest. Review quiz (10%) and final exam weren't bad, but as aforementioned, for a closed-book final while the questions weren't particularly hard it did seem a bit content heavy.

New unit convenor is lovely. Answers ALL forum posts, so students didn't need to email her directly unless it was for personal reasons. Online learning lectures were live (and recorded for those who couldn't make it) with a Q&A running at the same time where the unit convenor would address any questions or statements in the moment. Weeks 11-13 had some pre-recorded lectures from 2019. Assessment provided many opportunities to branch out in our own research. Tutors are lovely and respond timely to emails. We had heaps of different discussion forums (PAL, Assignment, Lecture, General, Tutorials etc) that made it easy to organise information/questions. Content pretty abundant, and possibly a bit much for a closed book exam, but overall content was presented well. Lecture slides were posted timely every week and in different formats to accommodate different learning needs.
