The unit's alright, but no you won't get a distinction by doing the bare minimum; the 40% major essay WILL screw you up. The 25% policy briefing assignment is also absolutely terrible, especially since I have never written a policy briefing before. Won't recommend the unit to anyone but I won't stop you from doing it either, just glad that its all over for me.

Not the most interesting unit, but easy to do well in if you just show up to the tutes. Doing the minimum will get you at least a distinction. Tutors were really nice, but the tutorial activities themselves were quite boring. Can't speak for lectures, I only went to one of them and it was alright. Got a distinction though without doing any work so pretty easy unit.

I can say this was a great subject to anyone who never skipped lessons and any student who put effort to learn. I passed just fine

Really good unit, Megan the unit coordinator is really nice, as are the TAs.

Nice and I really loved it, I got a distinction. I could guide my fellow classmates

I picked up this subject 2 weeks in to semester and it was pretty easy. The weekly tutorials can be draining and often have forced group work, or presentations including some improv and role play in front of the class, plus the lecture notes were often not uploaded before the lecture. However, the tutors are really nice and will answer any questions you have, and the content is pretty easy. The lectures, specifically the case studies and ones relating to human geography, were very interesting. Try to watch most lectures but just knowing the basic principles will get you an easy HD in both the assignments and the exam.

Super easy! didn't go to any lecture and got a HD, above 90% of both essays, would recommend

The content was super interesting but some of the lectures got repetitive and boring. Most of the tutorials were interesting but a few had awkward forced group work.

Fairly simple and interesting unit. Lectures are short which makes them easier to pay attention to and the comp labs are a pretty good practical learning opportunity each week.

Good unit overall
