I really enjoyed reading the texts selected in this unit, and the coordinator (Simone Murray) super helpful and passionate. The topics discussed are really intriguing (Flâneur, etc) and the guest lecturers for the modules are excellent (Chris Murray for Wordsworth, Melinda Harvey for Virginia Woolf). The unit was just really well-organised - a lovely experience!

Really enjoyed this unit. Simone Murray the unit coordinator is great and really passionate, and I was lucky enough to have her as my tutor also. Some texts are fantastic and really interesting, and some are rather boring (particularly the essays). Overall, I enjoyed this unit more than ATS1903 - the other gateway unit to Literary Studies.

Overall the topic seems very irrelevant to the overall course but unfortunately compulsory, some interesting books.
