Worst subject so far. Lectures are boring and filled with diverse yet surface level content. The tutorials are even worse. Everyone was so bored and the tutor would end up making us go through the content 3 times over to make up for his bland, bland personality. Feedback for the assessments was shocking (or even non-existent) and the upcoming exam looks really hard. Can't wait till it's all over.

Enjoyable unit although the lectures were sometimes a bit too short. Class discussions were heavily biased towards specific political leanings. The content itself was super interesting and relevant, interesting in understanding the history of our political system and our parties. I wish we had gone into more depth rather than breadth.

Whilst Nick is thoroughly engaging, the Clayton lectures lacked the substantial content required to succeed in the test or exam. The teaching methods and grading schemes vary amongst tutors, in my experience little valuable discussion occurred, yet with other tutors, this differs. The exam and test were not difficult after watching Caulfield lectures, which contained all the important information. The subject matter was thoroughly interesting, yet I wanted to learn more content during the lectures.

Rubbish. The lectures were a series of two hour rambles (entertaining as they may have been, the information was not presented in an accessible manner), and each of the tutors used different grading schemes. No consistency, no structure, and no valuable content; put me off politics entirely as the other units are run by many of the same staff members.

Nick is a bloody legend. Engaging lectures and tutes, he really makes you want to learn and I found it easy to stay focused in the 2hr lectures.

Tutorials were very uncomfortable at times, as no one was prompted to really discuss or contribute anything. Assessments were relatively easy and enjoyable, except for the mid semester test that had questions on content that had not been previously discussed within tutorials at all.
