Content can be pretty dry at times. weekly quizzes are easy to get high on. Labs are definitely marked way too harshly, especially for a first year subject - wouldn't reccomend this subject if you're looking for an easy HD. Staff we're pretty rude to students on forums and ignored criticism. JMR labs were okay though a lot of sitting around doing nothing. Main project - climate watch project was pretty average, tough if you get a species not found on campus, but not a very stimulating project. Would only recommend if you're dedicated to Flora and Fauna biology - doesn't really add anything to the science course overall if you're not interested in plants and animals.

Most boring unit ever!!! Do not come here thinking you’re going to learn about interesting animal or climate biology :(((. Instead you’re going to focus on the MOST BORING plant biology ever and then waste hours of your life on the ridiculous climate watch project that adds NO value to your learning. The climate watch project does not fit in line with the University’s fairness and equity policy as the protocol for study and achievement is not equitable across students. This unit was horribly structured, far too under stimulating and just all round disappointing. The unit needs some staff replacement ASAP! Such a shame :/

really enjoyed this unit! you are placed in groups in week two and you have to sit with them for the rest of the unit. therefore, it makes it super easy to make friends (as long as you get along with them) luckily, i had great people for the group assignment! only downside is that the workshops often felt unnecessary?? min 80% attendance for labs and workshops and they actively take attendance.

Good unit, but can get dry at times. Some concepts are hard to remember so having notes helps a lot!
