If you did well in CIV2225 you'll do well in this unit. It's a design unit, so you'll basically be covering some of the Australian Standards for concrete and masonry design, as well as qualitative stuff about concrete composition, mixing, construction and durability. It is a pretty straightforward unit, but there are a lot of assessments. There are two group projects in groups of 8 that you choose through Moodle - do this early if you want to be with mates. The exam was pretty fair with nothing too crazy or out of the ordinary. The first four weeks have the most content and are the hardest to get through but later weeks are more chill with more revision. The teaching staff were good with answering everyone's questions on the forums and very understanding. The lecturers for this unit are decently engaging for engineering lecturers and they explain things in detail.
