CLAYTON: The worst unit of engineering I have done. This unit is worse than even eng2005 which I didn't find that bad. The most recent lecturer, Ahmet, is a successful engineer, but as a teacher he isn't. He is lousy and tries to avoid questions by answering with ambiguity when asked. When we are giving educational criticisms in hope he changes the way we are taught, he ignores it. He is disrespectful though he tries to hide it by always giving a false friendly atmosphere, and for assignments, if you are not in the top percentile, even if your code is 100% correct, you will still lose 40%. He is undoudabtly the worst lecturer I've ever had in my life in uni. If you have seen the way Malaysia taught this unit, you will see how poor the quality of education our Clayton Campus is. His only instructions are to read 3~5 chapters a week with each chapter having over 60~100 pages worth of content and codes to analyse. Then in lectures, he assumes everyone has 100% understanding and 100% complete memory, then proceeds to speak in riddles. Any S1 2022 students for ECE2071 will undoubtably agree with me.

Fairly easy. Basic of C, PLC and MIPS.

Great hands-on subject with lots of coding in different languages. Expected to remember a lot of specific code for the exam, however...
