Atrocious, a complete pain in the ass to get through. The smallest details in lectures end up being incredibly important to the exam, but they are often brushed off or explained poorly by the lecturer. By far the worst unit I've done at Monash, stay clear unless you are already experienced with the subject. Lecture slides are simultaneously overly long, and often repeat information. On top of this, the sheer scope and amount of content is unbelievable. There is easily 3 units worth of information in this broken, hot mess. How the hell this guy is qualified to actually teach is beyond me

I did this unit last year in 2019. Some things might have changed since then. I generally love calculations and I love problem solving. Although I did alright with this unit in the end, I noticed some flaws that could be improved. There were too much content to digest between the lectures, tutes, and the labs. It was very difficult to keep up especially because some of the concepts that were covered were foreign to me at the time and it was covered very quickly. In addition to that, this unit could have done better with preparing students for the exam. The difficulty of the sample exam paper really did not reflect the exam's. Usually in some units, we are taught the building blocks and slowly build up from there, but there was such a huge jump in the level of difficulty between the last week and the actual exam, which most students were not prepared for.

Horrible. Too much content that the lecturer cannot even finish in 2-hour lectures. Ron's lecture slides is a hot mess with nearly 0 structure.
