Performance in context I: HD notes
Subject notes for Monash ATS1287
Description
Three styles of notes included: 1. The lecture notes- this includes all information from the slides + extra things said during tutorials and lectures that assist in understanding content. 2. Theme specific notes- These use most of the lecture notes but organise them into the core themes for the semester within each module (gender identity, performance as ritual etc in Shakespearian theatre, Medieval theatre etc). This is particularly helpful for the exam as the essay questions are based around themes. 3. Text specific notes- These notes are quotes and information relating to themes of the unit within each text. All the texts are summarised as well for triggering the memory during an exam or when studying. Topics covered in notes: - What is Performance? - Ancient Greek Theatre (Antigone and The Bacchae) - Medieval Theatre (miracle plays and morality plays) - Shakespeare (The Tempest) - Restoration Theatre (The Rover) - Naturalism
