These are my notes I created and used in the SOCW1001 Course. These notes enabled me to achieve a High Distinction (90) in the subject which contributed to my High Distinction WAM. It is everything you need for the exam! The notes are split up into the 4 main social work areas of concern: Cultural Diversity, Indigenous Australians, Child Protection and Mental Health. Also included is the essay structure specific for Social Work and important notes and guidelines of the AASW (Australian Association of Social Workers). These notes will outline the issues in each area, levels of intervention (Micro, Meso and Macro), statistics, ethics, diagrams for clear understanding, and important terms you should use in the exam to maximize your mark!
