These land law policy/essay notes were used to achieve a HD mark in the exam (and 83 overall). These are updated for the topics that will be covered in the trimester system. These notes are concise and are designed specifically for the policy sections of the course, so that you can refer to these notes easily for a policy-based question without having to wade through other information. In line with this, they will focus on parts of the course that raise more prominent policy issues. These notes cover the topics: - Torrens System and Indefeasibility - Co-ownership - Leases - Freehold Covenants - Mortgages - Statutory Reforms - Values/Theories of Property Law - Native Title There will also be detailed essay plans at the end, which cover common land law essay topics (idiosyncratic rights, Native Title, analysis of the Torrens System and the pragmatism of property law).
