Comprehensive (step-by-step) LAWS2701 notes
Subject notes for UQ LAWS2701
Description
These are comprehensive, color coded notes for all 13 weeks of content. All cases (including helpful summaries) and statutes learnt are included. There is a step by step structure for how to answer a problem question in almost every week's topic, which was extemely helpful when I did my exam. Topics include: Arrest, Use of force, Search powers, Detention upon arrest, Bail, Committals, Pre-trial hearings, Disclosure, Pre-trial processes, Double jeopardy, Court proceedings for different offences, Fair trial, Sentencing, Punishment and penalties, Appeals, Appeals and the proviso, Legal representation, Restorateive justice. Important takeaway from each case is included. The structure of the notes is set out very clearly and I have received feedback that the notes are very helpful for exam preparation! These were the notes I took into my open-book final exam. In the sample notes, part of the notes for some topics have been included. Note that these topics have been majorly shortened to just provide you with an idea of the structure of the notes.
