Description

These are the notes that I took into the exam and I achieved a H1 for this subject. special advantages of these notes: 1. With over 110 pages, these notes are perhaps the most comprehensive notes you could find on this subject. It covers both required readings as well as further readings ( ATO tax rulings that, althouth not required, are very helpful summaries of the law). It also arguably goes into more detailed levels of some topics than is actually required. 2. These notes are developed when taking the course for the first time with a new tutor in 2026, who is unfortunately less structured and coherent than expected. So these notes hopefully help you make sense of the whole subject (because it contains some super helpful guidance I took from another textbook in tax law) 3. Taxation law is arguably the most heavy and challenging selective in this course with daunting workloads. These notes contain step-by-step solutions to every hypo-related topics, as well as succinct and accessible analyses on every pertinent statutes and cases, that are readily adaptable in an exam and are designed to help you succeed in this subject. *About me: Top 30 in my cohort; previous EAGLE tutor. ** Please note that these subject notes are purely for the purpose of aiding your understanding and enhancing your knowledge on the subject matter. Please paraphrase to avoid any plagiarism for your benefit. Topics included: Concept of income Income from services Fringe benefit tax Tax residence Income from property Income from business Capital Gains Tax General deductions Specific deductions Tax accounting Capital expenditure and capital allowance
