Description

This course features an abundance of cases, which makes it challenging to efficiently grasp its core legal principles and resulted in the longest set of class notes I have ever taken. Thankfully, lectures follow a neatly structured sequence. As such, my notes employ a cohesive logical framework that systematically integrates case summaries, statutory interpretations and key takeaways. For chapters dense with case law, I condensed all judgments into comparative tables to simplify exam revision. Compiling these notes greatly clarified my exam preparation logic, and I hope this structured resource will likewise benefit future notes includes: Topic 1 Introduction; Alternative Causes of Action Topic 2 Defamation: Preliminary Issues Topic 3 The Plaintiff's Case: Liability for Defamation Topic 4 Defences to Defamation Topic 5 Remedies for Defamation Topic 6 Privacy and Breach of Confidence
