Good Unit. The main lecturer, Dr. Maolin Tang is good, constantly made me reflect on the tangents and what-ifs after class, though I can see why some people find him hard to understand as he condenses information a lot. If you're a beginner and want to grasp an understanding in algorithms - Would recommend.

The assessment of this unit is very big mark and that assessment is not good because it does not really relate to the algorithm & complexity. The contents of tutorial and lecture are ok.

A required subject for the degree overall is not a bad subject. The assignment was not that interesting, also found the lecturer hard to understand. You will get a basic understanding of algorithms but it feels very much like a first look/introduction to the topic.
